The Game Play Demo File

The Final Demo file was Played by six people.

The Expertise in Action Demo File

In the Demo files and once the UnrealMap was cooked most of the textures and particles applied to the model did not show, therefore i have also included a video within the editor to show my particles.

The Real Time Image Captures

The theme that my group "Mimco" decided to inherit is a snow theme or a igloo type of building. The texture on the building did not work when the file was cooked but this images shows how we used this theme.

This is the opening stage of the game.

This is a ParticleMesh. This type of particle uses a StaticMesh and creates it into a particle. i have used this Mesh as a way of identifying portals within the game.

In this image you are able to visually view how my group have decided to use the concept of "hide and Seek", the many different rooms around the building are like little areas where players are able to hide and wait to be found. Also within those little areas there is also smaller rooms to hide in which is not too easy to find.

Week 4- Supplementary Information and Images

The Purpose

"Mimco" have decided to incorporate the game Hide and Seek. the way this is to be achieved is through particles, kismet and matinee. My model from assignment two will be used to complete the UT3Map because of its shape and the secret little rooms within the model to "hide". The game will be a two or more player game. The rules of "hide and seek" will be used but differently, this is that instead of physically "tagging" another player the person that is "it" will be able to shoot aswell as "tag", once another player has been shoot or "tagged" they are "it".

The particles in the model will be used to add effect and decoration to the game, but also provide purpose. Some particles will be used as portals to alert players of their locations, others will be used as disguises and some will just look pretty.

week 3- Precedent

Hide and Seek

Rules of Hide and Seek

First you pick someone to be it (the person to seek) then he/she turns around and counts with their eyes closed at the "base" while the rest of the people hide. Then "It" says "Ready or Not, Here I Come" and rushes to find everyone. Then the people try to get to base without getting tagged or else they are "It". If the person who is "It" doesn't get someone in three tries he gets to pick a man to be it!

Week 2- Group Members

Group Name: Mimco (btw mimco is a girl brand that is famous for its bags)

Vincent Lam
http://vincentlam721.blogspot.com/

Vincent will be completing the matinee component.

Jae Woo Park
http://realtime-jae.blogspot.com/

Jae will be completing the Kismet component.

Week 2- Particles/ Group Statement

For Assignment three i will be completing the Particle Component of the UT3 environment.
From my understanding a particle is anything, but in an UT3 environment it is an effect or a feature of something particular. So, to successfully complete this assignment i must create particles to emphasises important features of the game "hide and seek" or "Jenga" or "snakes and ladders". Below is some examples of particles that i have create in the Cascade editor and may be incorporating into the final model.

Explanation of the Assignment

Assignment two
For my first Assignment in BENV2423 Explosion and Porosity i decided to investigate the affects of accidental explosions on people who have intended to create that same explosion. The first experimentation looks at the different ways that that explosion could of been prevented. for assignment two i have decided to continue on the theme of the porosity of explosions on humans but a bit more general, because we are showing the after affects of explosions on Richard Goodwin's "cactus" building, the building is not human like. to create a more human like effect i have decided to treat the model as it was human, natural but that it was encased within a hard surface almost like a skeleton or skin.

in my 33% model i have not only subtracted from the model but also added vessel like lofts to the building to represent the vessels within a human body. the vessels were not lofted out because humans when exploded may have a clean cut and usually the body is still connected in some way, either through a vein, vessels, skin, or bone. the vessel like lofts represent this effect. the type of explosive that caused the destruction of the building it not as important as the effect it has in human or natural context. the type of explosive that could of caused the damage in the 33% could of been from missiles from 20th wars.

in my 55% model i decided to treat the model as a human more literally. the main type of explosive that this experiment looks at is the effects of bullets on humans. the centre cut loft is a demonstration of a bullet ripping through one end of a human body and cleanly exiting the body leaving no traces of a bullet besides a big massive hole from one end to another.

in experiment two the re-representation of Richard Goodwins model i was able to further explore the means of porosity and explosions and humans.

!!!WARNING!!!

I would like to just warn anyone viewing my blog that there are photos of things that may offend you or you might just find them disgusting like i do!
