Experiment one: Explosion and Porosity- What if it was you?

Hypothesis

For my first Assignment in BENV2423 Explosion and Porosity i have decided to investigate the affects of an accidental explosion on people who have intended to create that same explosion. For example army officers letting a grenade fall before reaching its intended destination or dynamite exploding in a building that is being knockdown and the dynamite exploding while there are still people in the building. This experimentation looks on the effects that may occur to people from such explosions.

The layout for this experiment will be of a single story building that will be blown up with dynamite but with people still inside and the affect that would occur when the dynamite is lit before the intended time.

My source of inspiration for this investigation was the video "Fred meets Mr C4" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NI9rAkwCfg) because Fred was trying to blow up a container of some sort but was unable to and accidentally exploded himself. Although the video doesn't relate to the layout i have decided to use, my layout is designed for a more realistic atmosphere and circumstance.

Modes: Observational Documentary

The main mode that I will be using for my machinima Documentary will be observational Documentary or Direct Cinema because I want to depict actual scenarios in reality and aware audiences of these issues. Observational documentary gives the audience a firsthand insight into different issues that the world is faced with. The audience is able to feel like they are involved in within the film giving certain interactivity. Observational Documentary will be suitable for my machinima video because I want people to have a firsthand experience of the dangers of explosive devices.
